

The Student Assessment Center has eight strategic goals for the 2002-2007 planning cycle that guide its activities and its operation:

(2002-2007). This document outlines the strategic goals and objectives
for the Center.
WVSC Assessment Program: Observations and Strategic Action Plans. This report
on the status of student assessment programs through October 2000 served as a
foundation for the Center's strategic action planning.
A Report of Student Learning Outcome Assessment at West Virginia State
College (March 2002). This institutional self-study report was
submitted to NCHEMS (National Center for Higher Education
Management Systems) as part of a statewide initiative sponsored by HEPC.
The report examined the status of assessment in the following areas: (a)
Organization and Structure of Assessment, (b) Assessment of Basic
Skills/Developmental Education, (c) Assessment of General Education, (d)
Assessment of the Major Fields, and (e) Institutional Self-Assessment.
