Software |
||
|
Computer Services has instituted a software purchasing program. The goal of this program is to purchase large quantities of software, which will allow for a better price to the end user. Currently we have the following software available through this p
rogram: Microsoft Office 97 Suite, Corel Suite 7 and Windows 95. Microsoft Office Suite 97 and Corel Suite 97 require Windows 95. Users of Windows 3.1 or 3.11 will need to purchase a Windows 95 upgrade. Call 3261 for more details on pricing and availabili
ty. Let us know if there are other software packages of interest to you. |
|
Virus Protection |
|
|
Current campus-wide virus protection does not cover Mac or apple machines. If
you own a Macintosh you can go to McAfee to find virus
protection software. Computer Services has no current plans for purchasing an
anti-virus software license for Macintosh. If you wish to purchase the software
you must
do so by
user or by department. Computer Services promotes the use of F-Prot virus protection software for IBM and compatibles. This software is available on the
campus software download site and is updated on a regular basis. |
