Directions for Electronic--Touchtone Telephone and Online--Registration:

Electronic Registration for Fall Semester 2008 will take place April 7-August 8, 2007. Following the initial sequence of assigned registration slots April 7-18, open registration will begin on April 21. (Bills for Spring Semester will be mailed in mid-July. Students registering after July 11 may obtain their bill amounts by accessing their account online through My State or by calling the Cashier’s Office at 304-766-3141. Payments for students registered through electronic registration due by August 11) Students cannot register until they have seen their advisors and received their PIN numbers. If you have not seen your advisor, do so immediately. Registration slots are assigned on a priority basis according to classification: students who do not see their advisors until after telephone registration begins may miss their primary registration slots: i.e., they will "go to the end of the line" for electronic registration.

1. If you have not seen your advisor, contact the office of your department or program immediately to determine whether they have your PIN number. If they do not have your PIN number, contact the Registrar's Office to see where your PIN number has been sent.

2. Once you have determined that your department has your PIN number, see your advisor to review your course needs. At the end of your advising session, you will be given your PIN number and registration time slots.

3. When you have obtained your PIN number, complete the Registration Schedule Work Area at the bottom of an Electronic Registration Worksheet (sample below).

4. With the Electronic Registration Worksheet in hand, register by following the instructions on the Worksheet. (You should also have paper and pen or pencil available for making notes.)

Before you register by telephone or online, take a few minutes to complete the course registration worksheet below. When you are ready to register, have your completed worksheet at hand.

Important: When you register by telephone or online you will have 15 minutes to complete your registration—the system will end your session when you reach your time limit. Before you end your registration session, be that you have confirmed your new courses (You may also confirm each course as you register for it). If you exit or are timed out before you confirm your courses, you will lose what you have entered and will have to start the registration process over again.
